Just in case you are not aware of the deadlines for the new Portability for the "Save our Homes" homestead benefit and the Tangible Personal Property tax exemption , please be advised that March 1 is on SATURDAY for the portability tax deadline. So if you know anyone that sold their primary home and purchased a new primary home, let them know ASAP that they need to transfer their "Save our Homes" homestead benefit using the form (DR501t) no later than Friday, 2/29/08. The deadline for the Tangible Personal Property tax exemption is on April 1. Hurry before it's to late!
